Law Enforcement Investigating a Double Murder in Manchester

Manchester, IOWA — Sunday afternoon at 2:23 PM the Manchester Police Department responded to a 911 call from 109 Deann Drive in Manchester.  Upon arrival at the scene officers found two deceased individuals in the residence.

Law enforcement is seeking a person of interest in this case and are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 17 year old Isaiah Sweet.  If anyone has information regarding the whereabouts of Sweet please contact the Manchester Police Department at (563) 927-3355.

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is providing assistance in this investigation.  Also assisting is the Iowa State Patrol and Delaware County Sheriff’s Office.

No additional details are being released at this time due to the ongoing nature of this investigation.

  1. I don’t know what you folks are getting upset about…this kid is only 17 and I am sure he was just “showing off” for his friends. Besides I am sure it has something to do with his grand parents wanting him to do something he didn’t want to do…like being normal and behaving himself! Geez, the stuff parents and folks paying the bills for our teenagers ask of these young people today…clean your room…pick up after yourselves…treat others in a kindly manner…it is a wonder we don’t see more of this! I am sure if we just let him have his way in life, he will become a model citizen…yeh, right!

  2. And the problem is, he’s still a juvenile. I’m sure he’s aware that the penalties are nowhere near as harsh when you’re under 18.
