MASON CITY – Mason City Public Library Director Mary Markwalter spoke to the City Council and Mayor at tonight’s City Council meeting and elaborated on the renovation project that is nearly complete.
Mrs. Markwalter explained that despite setbacks, the project has went very well and the library is ready to open to the public on Thursday morning Oct. 21 at 9am. Bestsellers Coffee, located in the Commons area, will open at 8am. “We are just waiting on some signage, furniture and some shelving.”
Mrs. Markwalter finished her presentation to the Council by explaining the library has something for everyone.
