From the Waterloo Police Department:
On Monday, April 3, 2012, at approximately 11:15 AM, Waterloo Police were dispatched to 3309 Parkridge Road to check on the welfare of the woman who lives there.
The 29-year-old female victim told officers she had been held against her will by her boyfriend. The boyfriend held a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her and her kids. He also tore her clothing off, put a belt around her neck to strangle her and threatened to burn her with a lit cigarette. He also tried to sexually assault her.
Arrested was Joshua Earle Pankey, age 33, of 3211 Ryan Street, Waterloo, IA. He was charged with Willful Injury, First Degree Harassment, Assault/DA, and Assault to Commit Sexual Abuse. Pankey is being held in the Black Hawk County Jail on $135,000.00 bond.
