AMES – For the 25th time in school history and the fifth time in as many seasons under T.J. Otzelberger, the Iowa State men’s basketball team has earned a bid to the NCAA Tournament.
The Cyclones have reached 12 NCAA Tournaments since 2012, one of nine teams in the field this year to do so.
Iowa State (27-7, 12-6 Big 12) earned a No. 2 seed in the Midwest Region and will face No. 15 seed Tennessee State (23-9, 15-5 OVC) on Friday in St. Louis, Mo. Tipoff and TV Networks will be announced later.
Otzelberger is the first coach in school history to lead the Cyclones to the NCAA Tournament in their first five seasons at the helm. He’ll be making his seventh appearance in the NCAA Tournament, as he also led South Dakota State to the 2017 and 2018 tournaments.
TICKET INFORMATION
The NCAA only provides 400 tickets to each participating institution for the preliminary rounds of the tournament. Iowa State’s NCAA ticket allotment for the preliminary rounds will be allocated as follows:
Cyclone Club Members (222 tickets)
Iowa State Students (40 tickets)
Participating Student-Athlete’s Family/Guests (78 tickets)
Coaches’ Families and Athletics Administrative Travel Party (60 tickets)
Because of the extremely limited availability, only Cyclone Club members who are also men’s season ticketholders at the Directors level ($18,000) will be eligible for tickets (maximum of four tickets). Please remember that requesting tickets does not guarantee fulfillment.
Tickets cost $165 or $120 each for the first-round game.
