Margaret married Ben Butterfield on August 30, 1942. They were blessed with 6 children. Margaret later married Alex Vega Gomez and they had and raised 5 more children.

Margaret was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Algona. She also participated in the Flower Club. She loved spending time with her family and going for coffee and lunch with her sisters around town. She enjoyed gardening, watching the birds on her deck, watching her favorite show Heartland, and reading. She loved spending time with her many pets over the years and loved spending many moments sharing her meals at the end with her grand pups, Finn and Harvey. She also loved her kitty “baby” Ash. She was blessed to get the spend the last few years of her life living in MN where she loved sitting out on the deck, planting flowers and playing cards. She was taken care of at the end in Minnesota by her daughters, Rosie and Janice, her son-in-law, Scott, her great-granddaughter who she adored, Kristin and a wonderful Hospice team that we will be forever grateful to for giving our mother such loving care until the end.

Margaret loved the lord Jesus Christ. She was a loving mother, wife, sister, grandma, great-grandma, and great-great grandma. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
