CHARLES CITY – Things just keep getting worse for this Charles City woman who was arrested late last year on accusations she got weird with a minor, and just days after she proclaimed her innocence, cops came knocking with more bad news.
NIT reported last November that 40-year-old Christina True of Charles City was arrested and charged with LASCIVIOUS CONDUCT WITH A MINOR (a serious misdemeanor). True was jailed and quickly released, as she awaits further court appearances.
Records show True has hired Mason City lawyer Timothy LaPointe, and on January 14, 2026, entered a plea of not-guilty at a hearing. Her right to a speedy trial was waived, and a judge set a jury trial date for March 19, and a pre-trial conference date for February 27.
Meanwhile, authorities were evidently not done building a case on True for alleged nefarious deeds. Charles City police claim True sent some type of obscene material to a child on January 19, 2026 – days after she claimed she is a saint. Due to her alleged transmission of naughty materials, a judge issued a warrant for True’s arrest on January 21. The next day, Charles City police conducted a warrant check at 6:01 PM in the 1700 block of Rolfing Street, where they located True and arrested her on a charge of DISSEMINATION AND EXHIBITION OF OBSCENE MATERIAL TO MINORS.
True (pictured at top) was jailed at 6:54 PM that night and bonded out by 8:08 PM, costing her $1,000. Her attorney is already demanding discovery from prosecutors as future court dates loom.
