David Doering, 75 of Mason City, passed away peacefully Friday, December 26, 2025 at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, Mason City.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Epiphany Parish – St. Joseph Catholic Church, 300 5th Street S.E., Mason City, Iowa. He will be laid to rest at Elmwood–St. Joseph Cemetery, Mason City, Iowa.

Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2026, at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third Street Northeast, Mason City, Iowa with a Scriptural Wake Service beginning at 6:00 p.m..

David Joseph Doering was born June 9th, 1950 the son of Herbert Doering and Rose Lucille (Bamrick) Doering. He was raised in Mason City, Iowa.

David graduated from Newman High School in 1968, where he developed lasting friendships and values that remained with him throughout his life.

On April 28th, 1979, he married Donell Doering. Together they raised two children, daughter Jen Doering and son Chris Doering.

Dave began his career as a farm equipment salesman and later worked as a truck and large machinery parts manager. He eventually became the owner of In Home Gallery, a local business that kept him engaged with the community. He was active in his church, serving on the parish council at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and participating in the Knights of Columbus. In addition, he volunteered as a youth baseball coach for several years and was an avid golfer and bowler.

He is survived by his wife, Donell Doering; his daughter, Jen Doering of Mason City; his son, Chris Doering of Minneapolis; his sisters, Sister Mary Louann Doering and Joan Baack; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Dorothy Thompson; his brother, Paul Doering; his sister-in-law, Jan Doering; and his brother-in-law, Gary Baack.
