CHARLES CITY – A Nashua man was nabbed on a cold December morning for drunk driving in Charles City.
According to Charles City police, their officers conducted a traffic stop at 1:29 AM on December 20, 2025, at the 100 block of Southgate Drive. After an investigation, they arrested 41-year-old Luke Roelfsema of Nashua on a charge of first-offense operating while intoxicated.
Roelfsema (pictured at top) was booked into the Floyd county jail that morning at 3:11 AM, and released at 4:17 PM later that day. Records show he has a public defender as he awaits a January 9, 2026 hearing.
