On Tuesday, December 9, 2025, Cedar Falls Public Safety Officers learned of possible injuries to a six-month-old child. After an investigation in partnership with the Waterloo Police Department, the following individuals were arrested for Child Endangerment, a Class “C” Felony:
- Deaundre Torres, 23, of Florida

Dana Dial, 31, of Texas
The child is receiving medical treatment and is in the custody of the Iowa Department of Human Services.
Cedar Falls Police was assisted in this investigation by the Waterloo Police Department, Iowa Department of Human Services, Black Hawk Consolidated Dispatch Center, and Black Hawk County Attorney’s Office.
