Douglas Floyd Rowley, the son of Floyd and Ethel (Rogers) Rowley, was born on June 8, 1946, in Worthington, Minnesota. He died on November 6, 2025, at the Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville at the age of 79 years.
Doug graduated from Worthington High School before marrying Agnes Bianchi on April 18, 1970, at the Church of St. George in New Ulm, MN. The couple made their home in Reading, MN. They were blessed with three sons, Troy, Trent and Travis. In 1982, the family moved to Estherville.
He was drafted into the United States Army, where he served in Vietnam. Doug worked for the Rock Island, Chicago Northwestern and Union Pacific Railroads until his retirement in 2008.
In his free time, Doug enjoyed watching westerns, and in his younger years, fishing and hunting with his sons.
Doug is survived by his three sons, Troy Rowley, Trent Rowley, and Travis (Erica) Rowley; eight grandchildren, Tyler, Matthew (Ellie), Morgan, Brenna, Isaiah, Briar (Sarah), Parker and Tarynn; one great-grandson, Karson; and a sister, Connie (Loren) Johanning.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Rowley, parents, Floyd and Ethel (Rogers) Rowley, siblings, Marilyn Vogler, Judy Pomranke, and Kim Rowley.
