ESTHERVILLE – A woman was found deceased on the cold ground, and police in this small Northern Iowa town are seeking clues to solve her fate.
On Monday, November 10, 2025, the Estherville Police Department found a woman unresponsive and lying on the ground in the 200 block of South 17th Street. She was soon identified as 18-year-old Bailey Ann Anderson of Estherville, Iowa. The woman was taken to a local hospital and soon pronounced deceased.
Authorities sent the body to the Iowa Medical Examiner’s Office in Ankeny for an autopsy.
Police later reported that the autopsy was performed on November 17, 2025, and they said the initial report from the Iowa Medical Examiner’s Office is inconclusive, but further tests are pending.
