Charles City police nab Alabama drunk driver

CHARLES CITY - This Alabama man was allegedly driving drunk with no headlights, no license, no insurance, no registration, but Charles City police took his keys and replaced them with handcuffs.

CHARLES CITY – This Alabama man was allegedly driving drunk with no headlights, no license, no insurance, no registration, but Charles City police took his keys and replaced them with handcuffs.

On August 22, 2025, at 10:10 PM, the Charles City police department conducted a traffic stop at Brantingham bridge. As a result of the investigation, 36-year-old Rafael Randall Jones (pictured at top) of Alabama was arrested on the following charges:

– OPERATING WHILE INTOXICATED

– DRIVING WITHOUT A LICENSE

– FAILURE TO PROVIDE PROOF OF INSURANCE

– REGISTRATION VIOLATION

– OPERATING WITHOUT HEADLAMPS

Jones was booked into the Floyd county jail at 12:15 AM on August 23. He was released on his own recognizance the next day at 3:58 PM as he awaits a court appearance.
