On Monday, May 19, 2025, at approximately 10:42 AM, Waterloo police officers and Waterloo fire were dispatched to the 1300 block of W 4th Street on a report of a person who had been shot. Officers arrived on scene and observed a male victim laying in the driveway unresponsive. The male gunshot victim has been transported by Waterloo Fire Ambulance to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The identity of the victim is being withheld pending family notification.
The Waterloo Police Department is asking the public if they have any information to contact the Waterloo Police Detective Division.
