On December 17, 2024, at approximately 1:00 PM, the Waverly Police Department responded to the 900 block of Cedar River Drive in reference to a disturbance call, driving complaint and possible traffic accident. Upon further investigation, 46-year-old Chad W. Kane of Waverly, Iowa, was arrested for Domestic Abuse Assault – Impeding Air/Blood Flow Causing Bodily Injury (a Class D Felony).
Kane was transported to the Bremer County Jail where he was booked and held to see the duty magistrate. He posted bond the next day and was released as he awaits arraignment on January 17, 2025.
