MASON CITY – A Mason City woman was jailed after an incident at a seedy apartment house.
According to police records, Mason City police went to 333 West State Street, on August 27, 2024, at 4:32 AM. This apartment house, owned by Madison Avenue Properties, LLC, has seen violence in the past, and this morning was no different.
After a police investigation, officers determined there was enough evidence to cuff a suspect. Arrested was 45-year-old Lisa Marie Koenigs on the following charges:
– 708.2A(2)(c) – Domestic Abuse Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, 1st Off (an aggravated misdemeanor)
– 719.1(1)(b) – Interfere wwith Official Acts (a simple misdemeanor)
Koenigs (pictured at top) was taken to the Cerro Gordo county jail and booked in at 5:20 AM. She has remained there since, on $2,000 bond, awaiting a September 6 court date.
Koenigs still owes the courts $60.00 for an interference with official acts case brought by Mason City police back in 2020.
