WEBSTER CITY – After a subject allegedly tried to abduct a child Monday night in Webster City, police were able to locate the suspect vehicle in the case and continue their investigation.
Webster City police offered an update on alleged child abduction attempt at a Yes Way gas station in town on September 11, 2023.
“The Webster City Police Department has located the subject in the photograph as well as the vehicle in the photograph for the incident at Yes Way on September 11, 2023,” police said today. “Investigators are conducting interviews and at this time there does not appear to be any ongoing threat to the public. The police department wants to thank the community for their assistance. Since this is an active investigation, no additional information will be released at this time.”
The Webster City Police Department is being assisted in the investigation by the Hamilton County Attorney’s Office. police said.
