RURAL CERRO GORDO COUNTY – A Northern Iowa man was hurt in a two-car crash outside Mason City Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the accident took place Wednesday, February 23, 2023. At about 2:55 PM that day, a 2023 Honda HRV driven by 69-year-old Dale Lynn Hatfield Was westbound on 150th Street and failed to stop at a stop sign at Grouse Avenue. The Honda collided with a 2013 Ford F350 driven by 25-year-old Patrick Steven Anderegg. The patrol says the crash was caused by ice-covered roads.
As a result of the accident, Hatfield was injured and transported by ambulance to Mercy in Mason City.
