MASON CITY – The Mason City airport will an hold open house in October as a multi-million dollar “Terminal Modernization Plan” is considered.

The Mason City Municipal Airport will be holding a Terminal Open House on October 5th, between 4:00 and 6:00 PM. The purpose of this Open House will be to inform the public about the options being considered for the future Terminal Modernization Plan – possibly costing taxpayers many millions of dollars. The Open House will be held in the Main Terminal Lobby, with exhibits and representatives from the Airport on hand to answer any questions.

There will be additional opportunities in the coming months for Public Comment on this proposed project.

Information can also be found online at the Airport’s website, http://www.flymcw.com

  1. Airport is asking for the public’s input yo. They already have the money. Just like hundreds of other regional airports. Thank the 2020 CRSSAA and 2020 CARES Act deserves the credit. No bullshit

  2. This is actually more needed the the downtown hockey venue, when they already had one. This could update the facility and plane lanes, which is needed. This could provide larger carriers to network thru MC. Do we want more taxes…no, but will listen.
