Op-ed: NIACC dorms: send refunds to those who served their sentences in that hell hole (by Peter Children)

It was but a couple weeks ago or maybe a little longer that I wrote about drugs on the NIACC campus.  In that same article I also touched on the dormitories, and my comments and opinion was far from complimentary, and I might add deservedly  so.

Now out of the blue NIACC announces plans to spend 23 million on a new housing complex….about time, long overdue.  They should send refunds to those who served their sentences in that hell hole.  I would assume the school keeps a full time psychologist on board out there. If so I am wondering just how they could treat someone in their area of expertise then send them back to that dark dungeon of depression.  When you enroll in a school and intend to live “on campus” first look at the dorms; if they resemble the cell your uncle Frank lived in for fifteen years courtesy of the state…….turn around and leave.

The Globe Gazette finally got on board, after the fact, but then that is par for the course over there on Washington Avenue.  Those “cells” were always there, jammed with students and drug dealers; oh, the part I wrote about drug dealing was verified by the college president’s son; a second time offender of dealing cocaine. Truthfully, my heart goes out to this woman.  No one should blame her….I don’t think. Usually it’s a case of wrong association, trying to fit in, some damn macho thing or other. I’ll bet this kid…her son never went without so I don’t think he was trying to make a living doing it.

Does NIACC need new housing? Is the pope Catholic?  Of course they need it, they also need a full time drug dog, not a sandpile to stick their head in. They need to bring in undercover people who can infiltrate the student body and make some arrests.  If that school continues their current position they risk the entire community by trying to hide what they have known for decades, but looked the other way.

Maybe now that Penn State got cuffed; not nearly enough in my opinion, these other schools will turn on the lights and come out of the dark.  If the NCAA could do what they did to a school the size of Penn State, then perhaps they should take a long look at what is going on in cities like Mason City.  At Penn State the officials knew for over ten years that Jerry Sandusky was molesting young boys….now they are paying the fiddler, and before it’s over they will have to pay out for all the lawsuits that are sure to surface.  Bet on it.

Why I ask, should there exist this invisible “reverence” that permeates locker rooms; what is that all about? What is it that caused those who knew young boys were being raped by a pedofile, to look the other way? Was it a false sense of right justness because these people all wore large numbers on their back, cleats on their shoes, was it the sweat…what the hell was it?  Here is the answer; It was the $$$, it’s always the money, money came first before morality, before the lives of the young boys who were handed to this vile man who was “one of their own.” Now they are screaming that it was too much, the fine and the suspensions; well if was up to me I’d have shut down the entire sports program, all sports at Penn State for as many years as these men hid the crime they kept to themselves…much more than four years.

What are thirty-six known drug houses in this town worth? Don’t erver forget, these houses were here as a direct result of SPORTS and no other reason.  This information was attributed to one of the retired Chief’s of Police  who informed me under confidence that I would not revel his name and I won’t.  Don’t hurt the school, leave the school alone, keep your mouth shut.  I ask you…is this a church, maybe a place of worship?

Penn State woke up a lot of people about the perversion and cover ups that take place in locker rooms; it’s a place where young boys take off their clothes, so it’s only natural it would draw pedophiles and homosexuals much like the priesthood has and still does and always will.  This is an unhealthy alliance that invades the minds of young innocent boys at an early age, often encouraged by their fathers  who want to live through their children’s supposed talent.  Repeat after me; “It’s only a child’s game, it belongs in the backyard. “

Now the critic’s will come out from under the bed and assail every word I said without standing in the open, without putting themselves on the line.  Let me leave you with this….if you want to get an education go to a school that places the emphise on education, if you want to play catch, save your money because the chances of turning pro are infinitesimal.

If you are going to state facts you better be ready to name names. Not wanting to be identified just doesn’t cut it. Retired police chief my rear end, I think you just make up stuff to get attention. Now prove what you say or shut up.

Here you go just trying for sensationalizm again. You just can’t resist jumping on the bandwagon with your distorted opinions and the opinions of hate filled people with their own agenda. If you have proof of your statements you should be in the authorities face demanding justice, instead you are on here shooting off your mouth. As far as every drug house in town being caused by NIACC, what B.S. I know some of these houses and those people have never been close to a college. Get your facts straight before you slander people and the college.

So the 36 “drug houses” are a direct result of SPORTS and no other reason? Really? Maybe you should be the staff psychologist at NIACC as that’s a pretty bold statement based on opinion, not facts.

And comparing the Penn State child molestation situation with the dorms at NIACC doesn’t even make sense. I think you’re just trying to get a reaction again and not really making any valid points.

The information came to me from a retired Chief of Police; and those running the drug houses were brought to this town to play ball at NIACC. That is a fact, not an opinion

At least the previous article written by Peter and the drug problems at NIACC were pretty much true.

let the private sector build them.

Peter, maybe you should get your facts straight in your rants before posting them. The NCAA has no authority over NIACC, never has, never will. Junior colleges (2 year colleges) are governed by the NJCAA.

Are you grabing at atraws? Does the fact that another agency rules them change any of the facts I pointed out?
