MASON CITY – South Federal Avenue/US65 will be closed between 6th Street South/Hwy 122 Eastbound and 5th Street South/Hwy 122 Westbound for approximately one week beginning Monday, August 16th. A detour will be established and signed for the duration of the work; the northbound detour route will utilize 6th Street SE/Hwy 122 Eastbound, South Delaware Avenue and 5th Street SE/Hwy 122 Westbound. The southbound detour route will utilize 5th Street SW/Hwy 122 Westbound, South President Avenue and 6th Street SW/Hwy 122 Eastbound.
This is an emergency closure and is necessary for repairs on a water line.
Use caution and expect delays when travelling near the construction zone; avoid the area when possible.

This road has been blocked for a week already. Concrete isn’t even a year old, and it has to be dug up already.
Great. As if getting around Vance Jorgensen’s mess, that he’s not cleaning up, isn’t a big enough pain in the butt. Just like the Park 70 theater building in the 80’s that he let fall down, and then we had to clean it up. Then he sued us for cleaning it up! Everybody laughs at this loser, and he’s stupid enough to think it means they like him.
