MASON CITY – There are still openings for several Lime Creek Nature Center Day Camps scheduled for this summer.
“Those Amazing Animals” will be held from 9 – 11:30 a.m. on June 25 – 29 for children entering the 3rd and 4th grade. Participants will enjoy a variety of exciting “hands-on” outdoor activities and will be provided with a snack each day (Fee $15 members; $20 non-members; call 423-5309 to register).
Canoeing & Fishing camp will be held on July 25 & 26 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. This camp is for children entering 7th & 8th grades and will focus on fishing and canoeing skills. It will include fishing by canoe on Bluebill Lake, and a canoe float on the Winnebago River (Fee $15 members; $20 non-members; call 423-5309 to register).
“Tiny Tots” will be held from 9 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. on August 7 – 9 for children ages 4-6. Participants will learn all about Iowa’s habitats. (Fee $20; call 641-421-3673 to register).
“Insectigations” will be held from 10:45 a.m. – Noon on August 7 – 9 for children ages 7 & 8. Participants will learn all about insects and their fascinating behaviors (Fee $20; call 641-421-3673 to register).
