DES MOINES – Polls are showing the race for Iowa’s contested U.S. Senate seat is close to a draw if not slightly favoring the challenger, and tonight the two candidates – incumbent Republican Joni Ernst and Democrat Theresa Greenfield – will face off for a debate.

The live debate is Monday night at 7:00 PM on PBS or can be watched below. Candidates Sen. Joni Ernst (R – Red Oak) and Theresa Greenfield (D – Des Moines) competing for Iowa’s U.S. Senate seat will debate live tonight, Monday, September 28, on Iowa PBS. This is an hour-long debate. The program airs live on Iowa PBS and will be streamed online on iowapbs.org, YouTube, and Facebook. David Yepsen, host of Iowa Press, Kay Henderson, news director for Radio Iowa, and Caroline Cummings, political reporter for Sinclair Broadcast Group will moderate the debate.

Theresa Greenfield (D)

Greenfield leads Ernst, 45 percent to 42 percent, among likely voters, according to the latest poll from the Des Moines Register.

Tuesday night, a Presidential debate will be held in which Donald Trump will take on Joe Biden.
