Bernie Sanders Field Team knocks 32,000 doors on snowy Iowa weekend , campaign says

DES MOINES – Sen. Bernie Sanders’ campaign on Monday announced the Iowa field team knocked more than 32,000 doors during a snowy weekend where temperatures reached zero degrees in some parts of the state.

“This is how we will win over the next 49 days,” said Brooke Adams, Bernie 2020 Iowa Field Co-Director. “A little snow and cold weather won’t stop the largest volunteer base, the most robust field organization and the most committed supporters.”

As volunteers and organizers were talking to caucusgoers across the state this weekend, Sen. Sanders spoke to over 1,000 people at events held across 225 miles in southeastern Iowa. Sanders was joined in the state by surrogates who helped launch canvasses, including State Co-Chairs Stacey Walker and Nick Salazar and national surrogates Randy Bryce, Cori Bush and Michael Lighty.
