SAC CITY, IOWA – Posting pictures of a cute and cuddly pet to social media backfired on an Iowa woman this month, women police were notified that in the picture was a marijuana pipe.
The Sac City, Iowa Police Department has filed charges on a Sac City female following an incident that took place on August 2, 2017. At approximately 8:40 PM that evening, the Sac City Police Department received an anonymous tip that 40-year-old Sara Regensheid of Sac City had posted a photograph on her Facebook page of her cat. In the background of the photograph, which was posted 44 minutes prior to the tip, was drug paraphernalia (a pipe used in the commission of smoking marijuana).
As a result of the pet pic, tip to police and an investigation, the paraphernalia was seized from the residence of 202 South 13th Street. Regensheid was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.

It is still illegal, that is what is wrong with it. You will also be arrested if caught and it will affect your ability to find good employment.
What if I found that same picture and copy/pasted onto my facebook page? Does that mean the police can bust me too? Who’s to say that the pot leaf pic at the top of this page isn’t proof that NIT has pot??

Speaking solely on the legality of the arrest. A picture of a pipe is not illegal. To assume it is/was used to smoke marijuana is not a basis for a search warrant. My guess is that she will win this case UNLESS what looked like marijuana was also present in the picture. That may give cause for a search warrant.

In seven years marijuana will be legal in Iowa. The money is so great that the state cannot pass it up. Just like controlling liquor sales in the past and the most recent cash cow of gambling revenue. What were the vices of yesteryears are now supporting our government. A point to ponder is if the military can find a terrorist by pinpointing their cell phone location then owning a cell phone should tell you that anybody can be watched. Just don’t do anything wrong. you guys are stupid. “ONLY A PIPE” well if she had a pipe im sure it didn’t just sit there, it was used. the pipe gave them cause for a search warrant, which might have unveiled more then that. if she was selling drugs to your KIDS you would have hollered loud. wake up. How do they know it was a marijuana pipe? A pipe can just be a pipe ya know.. what gives them the right, unless there was a fat sack of marijuana in the picture as well?
Law enforcement has time to go after a pot pipe but does nothing about all the illegals hanging out in Eldora. The other morning there were so many even the locals commented on it. Their crimes include tax evasion, identity theft, fraud, and worse. I used to document their crimes at IowaNews at Storm Front. Iowa is essentially a lawless state, more interested in pot pipes than protecting the public.

Your in for a big surprise if you think that big brother is not watching. Social media sites like Facebook, are one of the places they watch. She must have some good friends on Facebook, or maybe she’s not a good friend.
