Sheffield man hurt in accident Thursday

SHEFFIELD, IOWA – A Sheffield man was hurt after losing control of his car Thursday afternoon.

On June 8, 2017 at about 4:01 PM, the Cerro Gordo Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a single vehicle accident with possible injuries. It was determined that 33-year-old Tony White III of Sheffield was Southbound on Highway 65 North of 110th Street in a 2008 Toyota Scion when he lost control of his vehicle, going into the West ditch, striking a culvert. White was evaluated on scene and refused transport. White was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.

The accident remains under investigation.

Assisting the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department was Rockwell and Sheffield Fire Department, Rockwell-Swaledale EMT’s and Mason City Fire Medics.
