Cedar Rapids man caught stealing at Mason City retailer

MASON CITY – A Cedar Rapids man was taken to jail after he was caught stealing at a Mason City retailer.

The incident took place Wednesday, June 7 at about 2:39 PM, when Mason City police and Cerro Gordo deputies investigated a theft from Fleet Farm, 3200 4th Street SW. After an investigation, 25-year-old Isaac Edward Brown of Cedar Rapids was arrested on charges of fifth-degree theft and interference with official acts.

Brown was taken to the Cerro Gordo county jail, where he was booked and released after he was appointed a public defender. He entered a not-guilty plea and will stand non-jury trial July 11.
