CLEAR LAKE – Ground was broken Saturday in Clear Lake for a new support center for Cabin Coffee, a thriving local business.

Wausau Homes of Mason City is building a 5000 square foot facility in Clear Lake for Cabin Coffee. A ground-breaking ceremony was held Saturday afternoon at 408 South 15th Street in the Clear Lake Industrial park between Master Floors and TTI.

Brett Schoneman, a commercial realtor out of Mason City, is heading up the construction project through Wausau Homes. He tells NIT that the new building will be “2500 square feet of headquarters and support offices for the company’s 15 franchises. The remaining 2500 square feet will house the roasting facility with shipping and receiving. This is the first phase of construction and it’s designed in such a way to facilitate the company as it grows.”

Mr. Schoneman says he is “very grateful to be working with a company like Cabin Coffee on this important project.”

Cabin Coffee reported that they “had a great turn out for the groundbreaking ceremony for our new facility. A big thank you to everyone who came out to support us.”

This new facility will fill the need for fresh roasted coffee and retail product distribution, as well as serve as a center for franchise support.

Cabin Coffee Company has continued its steady growth since it’s opening in 2002, the company says, “owing its success to the superior quality of its fresh roasted coffee.”

It is great to see a local North Iowa Company grow and prosper.

why clear lake, they have coffee shops in mason city, hopefully those expensive coffee drinkers will go to the other shops in town and not cabin coffee.

What’s wrong with Clear Lake? It is where the company originated from. I believe that is where the owners live also.

Because Mason City is a dump that no one wants to visit, no one wants to invest in, and no one who lives there wants to approve any viable improvements to.

Over priced coffee and then people wonder why they have no money for the necessities. If you want ambiance, sit down with your child or elders and have a conversation.

Hmmmm coffee!
