RURAL CERRO GORDO COUNTY – A Rockford man wanted on federal meth and gun charges was caught and arrested by police this week.
A Cerro Gordo deputy went to a rural residence on the evening of April 25. Arriving at 21992 200th Street in rural Rockford, the deputy arrested 47-year-old Travis Daniel Counsell, a suspected etc dealer. Counsel was wanted on warrants of ossession with intent to distribute meth and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking.
Counsell was taken tot the Cerro Gordo county jail but seems to have been transferred to the Linn county jail in Cedar Rapids to face the federal authorities.
