MASON CITY – Details are thin so far, but one person was shot and injured Tuesday evening in Mason City.
Sources at the scene near North Federal and 9th Street NW tell NIT that “neighbors said they heard arguing and yelling and a single shot followed by multiple shots.”
Another source told NIT that “gun shots … people are screaming … blocking off 9th and federal, south of Casey’s (gas station) blocked.”
One person was said to be hit by gunfire.
Police are apparently investigating this incident, they say.
Police tell NIT this evening that officers responded to multiple reports of a disturbance and possible gunshots in the area of 9th Street NW and North Washington Avenue Tuesday night at 7:20 PM. When officers arrived they found an adult female had been injured by gunfire. The woman was taken to the hospital by fire medics.
Officers are still on the scene conducting the investigation.

I heard 9th NW both east and west of federal are places to stay away from – should move the greyhound bus station to that area. Thank the liberal welfare seeking democrats for these situations. Buy the way how are your voter fraud classes progressing?
Where did you hear that? I am sure it wasn’t at a MENSA meeting (unless you were catering the event). Blaming a local shooting on a political party sounds like all your brain is capable of doing, regurgitation of what you have been told to say.
