NIACC Students named to All Iowa Academic Team

MASON CITY – The 2016 All Iowa Academic Team (AIAT) Recognition Ceremony was held on Wednesday, March 2 at the Downtown Des Moines Marriott. This event honors the best and the brightest from Iowa Community Colleges across the state in conjunction with the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society.

The 2016 AIAT North Iowa Area Community College honorees were Breanne J. Chapman of Belmond, transferring to the University of Northern Iowa and majoring in Human Services, and Kaylah K. Godfrey of Mason City, also transferring to the University of Northern Iowa and majoring in Children’s Speech Pathology.

Phi Theta Kappa an international honor society that recognizes the academic accomplishments of students attending two-year colleges. To become a member, you must have a 3.5 GPA after completing 12 semesters hours at NIACC and be enrolled in at least three semester hours of classes.
