I would like to know what this future you have in mind would look like in our world today. Could you tell me how things would be. Would we still have law enforcement or would that be unnecessary? Who would grow our food? What happens when a dry, hot summer or a cold, wet spring happens and there is no food? Will we have more churches or more prisons? Would there be libraries? Who will police the internet? Will kids still have to go to school or will their education be up to their parents? Will military service be mandatory? What will we do for entertainment? Do we kill everyone who disagrees with our vision of what should be? Do we allow people of color into the country? I am just wondering if you could let me know what it does look like.

Obama paid an average of 411 Billion Dollars per year for our interest on our national debt. Since President Trump has been elected the Feds have raised interest to 2.5% and now has President Trump paying 523 Billion Dollars in 2018 on our national debt. I look for the Feds to raise the Fed Funds rate to 3% by June 2019. AT THAT RATE THE INTEREST ON OUR NATIONAL DEBT WILL START CONSUMING NEARLY 1/2 OF ALL THE TAXES WE THE PEOPLE PAY! In my comment, I wasn’t actually sticking up for pot, and of course alcohol. I was just comparing the two. I have observed people consuming alcohol and smoking pot, and there is a difference. I have never seen a person setting at the bar smoking one joint after the other until they fall off the stool. I have never seen a person that was smoking pot, violently assault someone, or go around looking for a fight. Anything in excess is not good. If I have a choice, and I do, I would rather be around people smoking pot then drinking alcohol.
I like NPR as a news source and I respect them also. I read the article you used to cut and paste and it seems legitimate. However, there are a large number of doctors who disagree with it (which wasn’t reported). Also, nowhere does it say that marijuana should not have been legalized. At the end of the article, the U of Colorado doctor who was quoted said: “Start low, go slow”. In other words, use responsibly.-just like alcohol. In addition, the regulation of marijuana needs to include regulation of potency.
Ask any law enforcement officer, and they’ll tell you they’d much rather deal with somebody under the influence of marijuana than alcohol. Drunks want to fight or have sex, stoners just want to eat Cheetos and take a nap.
