MASON CITY – A man recently released from prison was jailed Wednesday when he was caught driving with no license and drugs in his possession.
A Cerro Gordo deputy initiated a traffic stop June 3 at 1:42 AM near North Federal Avenue and 6th Street NE. The driver, 23-year-old James Robert Perry, was found to be a barred driver due to previous convictions. The deputy also discovered marijuana during the search.
Perry, who was released from prison lat December, was arrested on drug possession and driving while barred. He was released later Wednesday as he awaits a court appearance.
