Mason City teen hurt in car-bike collision

cited-police-featured1MASON CITY – A Mason City teen was hurt over the weekend after a car struck him while he was riding his bike.

Officers were dispatched for a collision involving a vehicle and a bicycle on Friday, April 17 at about 6:33 PM. The incident was at 6th Street SE and South Tennessee Place. The driver of the vehicle, Donald James Carlson, age 46 of Forest City, was cited for driving with a suspended license and operation without registration. His vehicle was not towed from the scene.

The bike rider, Parker Holland-Dunn, age 14 of Mason City, received minor injuries and was checked at the scene.

A state accident report was completed.
