MASON CITY – A Mexican man was caught stealing from a Mason City business and awaits pickup by federal authorities.

Daniel Alejandro Carrasco Lujan, age 32 from Carrasco Lujan, Mexico, was arrested after Mason City police were called to Mills Fleet Farm on Wednesday at about 4 PM, as employees report a shoplifter in the store.

Evidently he didn’t have any ID with him, so the police believed the names he gave them. It’s funny that his name and the name of the town he’s from are the same. I searched Carrasco Lujan, Mexico, and couldn’t find any town with that name in Mexico. So I guess another trip to see the prez is in order.
