MASON CITY – A Mason City man was arrested for the third time for drunk driving after a crash.

Police were called to the intersection of 7th Street SE and Federal Avenue on March 26 at about 7:34 PM after a two-car collision. At the scene, police discovered 60-year-old Mark Edward Adams of Mason City. Officers determined he was intoxicated and placed him under arrest. He was taken to the county jail, where he was booked and later released, pending a court date.

Adams was arrested in 1999 by Mason City police for his first drunk driving offense. In 2005, he was arrested again, that time by the Iowa State Patrol. He pleaded guilty to second offense operating while intoxicated.

  1. I can understand how this could happen to a person once, but after the fines,Interlock devices, restrictions, penalties, and insurance costs after that, it would never happen again for me. Just my opinion.
