MC orchestra students selected to perform in Waverly

MASON CITY – Mason City Orchestra Director Lauren Bell announced 16 orchestra students were selected from the middle school and high school to perform in the annual Northeast Iowa String Teachers’ Association (NEISTA) Honors Orchestra.

The performance will be held in Waverly, Iowa at Waverly-Shell-Rock Middle School on January 10, 2015, at 4:00 p.m. Admission for the concert is $5.00 at the door (3 years of age and under free).

Students selected:

High School
Violin – Meredith Armstrong, Madeline Kim, Emily Morrison and Halle Phillips Viola – Kendall Cornick
Cello – Abby Ihlenfeldt, OliviaPappas and Sydney Kleven (alternate)

Middle School
Violin – Kaitlyn Broske, Kendra Camper, Mikayla Ferch, McKinzie Johanns and Sydney Sullivan Viola – Chloe Ihlenfeldt and Simon Coleman
Cello – Lucy Kim
