MASON CITY – A Mason City woman was jailed after a traffic stop revealed several transgressions.
Mackenzie Anne Lamoreux, age 23, was stopped by a Cerro Gordo deputy late Wednesday evening. During the course of the traffic stop, the deputy discovered that Lamoreux was driving with a suspended license, no insurance and was wanted for a probation violation.
Lamoreux was arrested and her car was impounded. She was later released from jail after posting $300 bond. Within the last 60 days, she has been in court twice for stealing from stores in Mason City. She pled guilty on November 12 for theft in the fifth degree. In October, she was given a deferred judgment for fifth degree theft. The arrest warrant was connected to this case. She will appear in court on November 26.
