CLEAR LAKE – Trace Adkins was in Clear Lake Friday night, and the reviews of the concert were overwhelmingly positive.
“I had the best time at the concert tonight! Amazing performance!” said Lori Craighton, of Thornton. “I love the Surf Ballroom and I love Trace Adkins!”
Adkins, 52, played to a packed house and put on an enthusiastic performance featuring his country music hits.
Tony Russell, from Ashland, Missouri, has another reason to admire the country singer. Tony has a son in the Marine Corp and says, “Adkins is a huge military supporter….so, I am a little biased.”
Of course there are always the ladies who, in addition to the great music and hype of the concert, have a whole other look on things, like Kim Loggins, of Hampton.
“Ain’t nobody look better in a pair of Wranglers,” she said with sly smile.
A Mason City man went to the concert despite not being a big country music fan.
“My girlfriend is into country, not me, but this is alright,” he said, while enjoying a beer.
