MASON CITY – A Mason City man pled guilty to habitual pubic intoxication earlier this month before being arrested for same offense days later.
Yann Len, age 58 pled guilty on June 9 to third or subsequent offense public intoxication. Yann was sentenced to 30 days in jail and fined $625.00.
On June 21 ay about 4:44 PM, Mason City police officers were dispatched to 431 South Fillmore Avenue for an unwanted subject – who turned out to be Lem – who was causing problems. Lem had left before officers arrived, but he was located later. Lem was arrested for public intoxication and criminal trespassing.
Lem remains jailed on $4,000 chase bond (10% required) as he awaits a June 30 court date.

If he is not hurting anyone but himself and not driving a car, why not leave him alone.

Why not leave this guy alone. He’s had a horrific life as it is. After watching his whole entire family be slaughtered I’m surprised he at least kept it half way together this long.

If they want to wear their Badge proud why not pick him up and take him home instead, talk to him maybe he will open up. This guy would give you his shoes if you needed them, this guy would give you his coat if you were cold, he’s also a very hard worker but the memories are too much for him sometimes and gets in the way. Then when he dies of alcohol poisoning at home the city writes the family a check, not a good plan.
