MASON CITY – Details are still emerging after a car burned on the city’s North End Sunday evening.

Onlookers watched as a red, American-made car burned at about 6 PM at the corner of 14th NW and Adams avenue. The owner of the car, a 1992 Chrysler New Yorker, is Jewel Brinson. It incurred about $1,000 worth of damage.

One woman told NIT, “I saw the car burning, there were others watching, but I didn’t want to be questioned, so I went back inside.”
