Iowan dead in Hardin county car crash

RURAL HARDIN COUNTY – One Iowa teen died and several other people were hurt in an auto crash in rural Hardin county on Monday afternoon.

The Iowa State Patrol reports that the collision occurred on December 30, 2019 at 12:47 PM, at the intersection of County Highway D20 and County Highway S27 near Alden, Iowa. Noah Moore, age 17 of Madrid, Iowa, was killed in a crash involving a 2001 Peterbuilt Semi and a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse, in which he was a passenger. The Iowa State Patrol reports no seatbelt use.  Jaden Moore, age 20 and the driver of the Eclipse, along with Elijah Moore, age 17, were also hurt in the crash; both were hospitalized. Keith Hinders, age 61 of Eldora and the driver of the semi, was injured, too, and taken to a hospital.

Assisting the Iowa State Patrol were Hardin County Sheriff, Alden First Responders, Alden Fire, Hardin County Esquad, Iowa Falls EMS, Ackley EMS, Williams EMS and Webster City EMS.
