Iowa man caught exposing himself to elementary school kids

IOWA CITY – Police in Iowa City were tipped off that a man was pleasuring himself in front of kids walking to school, and set up a sting to catch the perpetrator.

Officers set up surveillance in the 1800 block of Benton Street – near Ernest Horn Elementary School – in response to a complaint of a male exposing himself to passing elementary school students. On April 1, a surveillance officer observed a male masturbating in street-facing doorway of 1848 Benton Street as persons walked past but the suspect disappeared before officers could make contact with him. Anthony Hudson was identified as the probable suspect and put under surveillance. Officers began the process of obtaining a warrant. On April 2, Hudson returned to the same building and was taken into custody as he unzipped his pants in the same doorway. Interviews and further investigation were conducted and a search warrant was served at Hudson’s residence in Iowa City.

As a result of the investigation, 46-year-old Anthony Lee Hudson of 50 Hickory Place, Iowa City, was charged with four counts of Indecent Exposure. The investigation into Hudson’s activities continues.
