CLEAR LAKE – A local man has been arrested for the second time since November for domestic abuse assault.

According to records, Benjamin J. Frederick, age 32 of Clear Lake, was arrested last week by Clear Lake police and charged with felony C burglary, domestic assault and violating a no-contact order. The incident allegedly took place on December 18th at 6:30 AM in Clear Lake.

Frederick posted a bond of $5,000 on December 20th and was released from the Cerro Gordo County Jail as he awaits a court hearing on December 27th for the burglary and assault charges and a December 31st hearing for the no contact order violation.

Records also show that Frederick was charged with domestic abuse assault after an incident that allegedly took place on November 24, 2013, which lead to the no-contact order being imposed by Judge Rolf Aronson. Frederick plead not guilty and awaits a May 26, 2013 trial date.
