MASON CITY – A woman with several prior convictions for shoplifting was busted at Wal-Mart late last week.
According to police, Peggijo Lynn Stinnett, 27, of Mason City, was arrested at Wal-Mart, 4151 4th Street SW, on August 27th for attempting to steal $126.00 worth of merchandise.
Police said that due to several prior convictions, the charge was enhanced to 3rd Degree Theft. Stinnett was taken to jail and later released.
Stinnett is also awaiting a pre-conference hearing set for September 30th for another charge of third degree theft brought by the Mason City Police Department last April.

There are a lot of these types around. They steal anything that isn’t bolted down just to pay for their drugs or alcohol. We have some coming through the neighborhood and if you put down your rake to go get a drink of water they will steal it while you are gone. If you leave your garage door open to go in the house for a cup of coffee they will come in and steal your tools while you are gone. For the most part they can’t be rehabilitated because they just don’t care. Lock them up and throw away the keys.
She’s not just any peasant, she’s a habitual theif that will rob you of anything she can get her fat little fingers on. On top of that she thinks she’s some bad ass jail bird and has no problem getting in your face when you catch her, and assaulting you. I just found her on video from last months stealing spree at my place of employment. Burned a dvd and now ill sit back and wait for the state to plea down charges and have her mosy on out of jail and steal from hard working people again. Then ill call the police and file my report. I’m willing to do this to any of these people that drive up the costs of goods to cover for high % shrink. I’m a hard working member to society. I fill protect hard working americans that are struggling already. She will probably deny its her in the video, but we all recognize that terrible tattoo “art”
