Clear Lake police investigation leads to arrest in theft case

CLEAR LAKE – Michael David Eichmann, 42 years old has been charged with Theft in the 1st Degree, a class C felony and Ongoing Criminal Conduct, a class B felony after the culmination of an investigation conducted by the Clear lake Police Department.

Detective Ryan Eskildsen led up the investigation which involved property that Eichmann had in his possession at various locations that was stolen between the fall of 2012 and April of 2013. Most of the property was stolen from locations in Clear Lake and surrounding neighborhoods. Included in the property that was recovered were a fishing boat, a pontoon boat trailer, three jet skis, two jet ski trailers, an ATV, a motorcycle, an air compressor and a portable generator. The reported value of the property exceeds $10,000.

Eichmann was charged at the Cerro Gordo County Jail where he was already incarcerated on other charges.
