Grade school ‘devil’ tot shakes up California parents

SOUTH SACRAMENTO, Calif., May 12 (UPI) — Parents said they wished a California school had told them earlier that a sixth-grader claiming to be the devil had threatened to murder her classmates.

The youngster was taken out of her South Sacramento classroom Thursday after she reportedly terrified her fellow students, saying that she was on a Satanic mission to kill some of her fellow students.

“Something like this should have been taken a bit more serious,” one parent, identified only as Antonio, told KOVR-TV, Sacramento.

Antonio added that his son informed him the girl had said she “sold her soul to the devil and has a list of kids she wanted to kill.” Antonio’s son was on the supposed hit list and was the first one to break the chilling news to the family

KOVR said the South Sacramento school district advised parents of the incident in a recorded telephone alert and was making counseling available. Antonio and his wife said there was a disturbing lack of details from officials.
