MASON CITY – Authorities arrested a known criminal last week on warrants and for escape from custody.
Benjamin Jonathon Dalgliesh, 24, was picked up by Cerro Gordo county sheriff’s deputies on April 25th at 104 North Jefferson Ave. in Mason City.
Dalgliesh has escaped from Beje Clark residential facility on April 14th. A warrant was immediately issued for his arrest and he was charged with felony (D) escape.
Dalgliesh and four others invaded a Mason City home last year. Dalgliesh plead guilty in September to class D felony of burglary in the third degree and Judge Colleen Weiland Weiland suspended a $750 fine and a 5 year prison stint and instead gave Dalgliesh 2 years probation. Dalgliesh wasted little time in violating his probation in December and was placed in Beje Clark for 6 months. On April 22nd, Dalgliesh was again charged with violating his probation due to the escape from Beje.
Dalgliesh is being held in the Cerro Gordo County Jail at this time and faces court dates on May 3rd and May 10th.

SUBJECT IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY
