Cerro Gordo sheriff’s department continues to secure helicopter crash site (VIDEO)

MASON CITY – The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department is continuing to secure the helicopter crash scene, Sheriff Kevin Pals said in a press release Thursday afternoon:

Update on the helicopter crash that occurred Wednesday, January 2, 2013 2100 hours northwest of the intersection of Balsam Ave. and 260^th St.

The crash site continues to be secured by the Sheriff’s Office. The FAA has been on site since 9 AM. We are still waiting for NTSB to arrive at the scene to conduct their investigation.
