Northern Iowa man wanted in “many counties” found hiding in trailer

CLERMONT, IOWA - Cops asked the public to be on the lookout for this wanted Northern Iowa man Wednesday, describing what amounts to a crime spree, and today he was located cowering in a trailer.

CLERMONT, IOWA – Cops asked the public to be on the lookout for this wanted Northern Iowa man Wednesday, describing what amounts to a crime spree, and today he was located cowering in a trailer.

The Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office and Decorah Police Department on Wednesday asked the public for assistance in locating 25-year-old Brandon Kimber (pictured at top and bottom), wanted on multiple charges and outstanding arrest warrants from many counties. Police say the charges include a parole violation. Kimber was last seen driving a 2016 red Ford Focus, was stolen Wednesday and used in the commission of crimes. The car was last seen Wednesday in southern Winneshiek County. Police asked for calls and tips for help stopping the alleged crime spree.

On March 7, 2024, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received information regarding the whereabouts of Kimber, who was reported to be wanted by the Decorah Police Department for the theft of a motor vehicle from the Wal Mart parking lot yesterday, March 6. Fayette county deputies investigated the information that was received and located Kimber hiding in a trailer at the Heritage Farm Trailer park north of Clermont.

Acting on the tip, Kimber was arrested without incident. Fayette County Sheriff’s Office had no local charges on him, however he had warrants out of five other agencies. Brandon Kimber was transferred to the Winneshiek County Jail where he is being held for an initial appearance in court on their charges. Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Decorah Police Department and the Postville Police Department.
