Chao Xiong, Star Tribune (Minneapolis) –
A St. Paul man reported that 40 to 45 racing pigeons worth $10,000 were stolen from his Dayton’s Bluff home last month.
The pigeons were taken between 11 p.m. Nov. 15 and 8 a.m. Nov. 16, according to a police report. There is no suspect information. The birds were taken from the 1100 block of Wilson Avenue.
Sgt. Paul Paulos, a police spokesman, said the victim waited to report the theft because he wanted to speak with the city’s animal control department first.
